Eric Schmidt, Former CEO Google, talking about his coach Bill Campbell.
“I was pretty experienced. Why would I need a coach? Am I doing something wrong? My argument was, How could a coach advise me if I’m the best person in the world at this? But that’s not what a coach does. The coach doesn’t have to play the sport as well as you do. They have to watch you and get you to be your best. In the business context a coach is not a repetitious coach. A coach is somebody who looks at something with another set of eyes, describes it to you in [his] words, and discusses how to approach the problem.
Once I realized I could trust him and that he could help me with perspective, I decided this was a great idea.”
As your executive coach, I will work with you in a series of dynamic, confidential sessions, tailor-made to your unique set of needs and circumstances. The sessions will establish clear goals, and ensure that you attain these goals in the shortest possible period of time. The result will be dramatically improved business efficiency and performance for you personally and for your organization.
Executive coaching can be individual and may address specifics such as;
- the individual’s leadership or management development
- working through management culture issues
- addressing behavioral or perceptual issues
- improving communication
- considering career development
- new job performance or job transition
- team motivation and execution
On top of workplace issues and challenges we respect that executives and managers often occupy a lonely place in the organisation. As a manager or leader they are expected to know everything, have all the answers, be on top of everything that is occurring in the organisation, and to pre-empt any unforeseen activity or situations that threaten or challenge the organisation.
Executive coaching works on restoring you to your full capability, allowing you to perform at work and manage the demands on your energy.
As your executive coach I will work with you to help restore balance. I will also provide you with accountability which may not be something you have given your seniority in your organisation. Again, these things are not always about your performance but can be about deeply personal goals and achievements that you are not able to deliver against due to work related obstacles.
When working with you as an Executive coach it is not my place to be providing you or your organisation with advice, even if I have experience in the situation at hand. My role will be to provide objective observation and reflection of your situation so that you can more clearly see your options and available strategies going forwards.
While no one can be as experienced in your position as you currently are, the most successful people utilise the skills of others to leverage their skills sets and capabilities to greater heights.
Find out how much more influential you could really be, develop energy and focus that counts where others fall away. Your expertise in conjunction with our experience can provide you with the leverage of success, closing your execution gaps and giving you the executive advantage.
I am passionate about what I do and I am laser focussed on delivering outstanding value to the individuals I work with and corporate clients.
